i would recommend this book, s.c.u.m manifesto by valerie solanas it's a book about men in a very bad way it made me feel powerful as a woman because i think that most women have the last thought, the last decision in life and relationshipsand everything like that. the book that i would choose to get you througha hard time is heartburn by nora ephron, which is a story about a woman who is going througha divorce from a terrible cheating husband. it's quite autobiographical because noraephron was herself going through a terrible divorce at this time but the thing is, sheis so, so funny and the way that she writes about these situations is done with such panachethat you wont remember your heartache afterwards because you will be too busy laughing. the book that got me through heartbreak wouldbe dorothy parker, the collected works. it's all poems and short stories and she's just so acerbic and wicked and cruel really but they're so funny and i just needed something...
