heartbroken syndrome
howdy healthy people family happy tuesday to ya welcome to the daily dose so yesterday on the daily dose i asked you guys to vote using this polling feature on youtube and it's friggin cool isn't it you guys actually went and voted like that's amazing lots of you voted on facebook and twitter and instagram as
well but in the video you click on the thing and you voted that's super cool i love being able to be like so interactive with you please expect many more of these polling opportunities in the new and improved daily dose this year so surprisingly of the four options that were given you guys wanted to talk about debbie reynolds cause of death and
did she die of a broken heart so before we get to that specifically there is something called takotsubo syndrome which is called broken heart syndrome it's crazy and it's diagnosed primarily in women almost overwhelmingly and women roughly 55 to 75 years of age it was actually first reported and diagnosed in japan it's only kind of new
ish in the united states in the last few years but essentially what it is is the signs and symptoms of a heart attack without known coronary artery disease which is what normally causes heart attacks so you're having chest pain having shortness of breath maybe even palpitations, this impending sense of doom like all these things that go
along with a heart attack except you're not actually having a heart attack but it's usually caused by the stress associated with grief or losing someone or a broken heart get it broken heart syndrome takotsubo so a lot of people last was this may be debbie reynolds cause of death because she died two days after
her daughter carrie fisher who we actually incidentally don't officially know carrie fisher's cause of death yet though it's thought to be a heart attack and we'll probably talk about that when that comes out later on so debbie reynolds cause of death was actually a massive ischemic stroke you know there's two types of strokes you have a stroke
where your brain like a blood vessel in your brain pops and you bleed and you have the type of stroke or a blood vessel in your brain gets clogged up and then blood stops going to that part of your brain well debbie reynolds had many small of these ischemic strokes these blockage strokes in the last few years she had a
lot of small ones of those and having small strokes is actually an indicator that you're probably going to have a big one down the road and stress can trigger those so debbie reynolds died of a massive ischemic stroke a blockage stroke it probably was predicated by the stress she had from losing her daughter around the holidays very unexpectedly
and they you know they were really close they had this like crazy tumultuous relationship throughout their life but in the last few years they like we're next-door neighbors they like we're very close and that stress probably triggered a stroke and someone who was already prone and primed and ready to have the big stroke that makes sense so there you
go she did not die of a broken heart but the stress of losing her daughter was probably associated with it alright so if you're new to ask the np and the daily dose by the way please subscribe i would love it if you did let's get those subscriber numbers up a little bit and if you liked the video like it share it with your friends
i and of course throw your comments below i'd love to hear from you guys it's all about being interactive this is a conversation and healthy people family i love you very much i will see you maã±ana
