three years ago when my good friendlast her mother and her dad was so depressed during the valentine's season that we decide tosend him a valentine to pick up his spirits happy valentine's day i want you to know god loves you in every way tears to triumph was started by myself my three kids who wanted to bless a friend of the family we wanted to make hand made cardsbecause we feel like when something is handmadepeople understand and know that they really arecared for

and it just makes them realize that they're not forgotten and that we justwanna bless them in that way well when i was getting this projecttogether this year we had already had a list of names of about 50 people that we'vebeen sending to for the last two years and i just decided that hey maybe i should take it a littlefarther and send a note to ktis by putting a little picture and an explanation onwhat we do on their facebook page a week before valentine's day pam lundell

had contacted us to do a ktis interviewabout our project are you ready for avalentine miracle a twin cities families ministry to sendvalentine's to widows and widowers its mom melena and her three kids tears to triumph is a project my children and i started threeyears ago to bless the widows in our communityduring the valentine's season when many widows suffer their worst depression our goal is to make and send every widowa valentine

to let them know that they're not forgotten and we found that this simple act of kindness can open a doorfor healing and love to fill their hearts bless you what an amazing heart you guys have after interview with pam lundelll on ktis me were able to receive almost700 emails wanting us to send valentine's to their loved ones we were so blessed by all the emails that came in butwhen i saw that there are seven hundred valentine's to be made with just the 3 ofmy children and myself my honest opinion was oh man what are we going to do

for us to be able to accomplish our goal i had the idea contacting my kids schoolmaranatha academy to see if the principals and teachers would be on board with us coming into classrooms so what are wegonna do we're gonna make a card yes we'remake them valentine's we're gonna make them so happy and we're gonna show them the love of jesus through our valentine cards when we were able to come into the kidsclassrooms the tuesday be for valentine's day itwas such a blessing because not only did

we get to make these valentine's but we were able to teachthe children about why we're there why do we takecare of widows why did we do community service and why is it important that we make adifference and this whole project was just agreat experience to be able to express the lord's love not only to thewidows but also to the children our goal with the valentine was too give words of encouragement biblereference verses

things that would really encourage thepeople who need it most my heart for this entire project is toreally encourage you to look into your own life and see do i have a family member do i have acoworker a friend or even a neighbor that could really use pick me up duringvalentine's day people can really be inundated with thisfeeling of depression and you can be the one to make the difference we just started a facebook page you canfind us at facebook.com/tearstotriumphwidowproject
